Colton Underwood Just Weighed in on That 'Bachelorette' Hannah Brown Drama

If you’re all caught up on The Bachelorette this season, you’re probably, *ahem*, intimately familiar with Hannah B. and the windmill. The already-iconic reveal that shook the internet also shook some trolls, who chose to spend their free time shaming Hannah instead of doing literally anything else.

Anyway, plenty of people have called BS on this, including former Bachelor Colton Underwood, who was famously shamed for being a virgin on the show. (See the weird double standard here?)

“I mean, listen, there’s no right or wrong in this,” he told People. “I got slammed for being a virgin, she gets slammed for whatever she’s doing, you know.”

“People have their opinions. They’re entitled to them,” he added. “I know Hannah. She’s not going to let it affect her. She’s standing up for herself and she’s an incredible person, so deserving of love.”

Pretty sweet of him to say, especially since Hannah was originally on Colton’s season. (She made the final seven, ICYMI.)

Other members of Bachelor Nation have also been vocal about how Hannah shouldn’t be getting hate for this online. Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe put in her two cents directly on Twitter.

Women can have sex if they choose, and women can wait till marriage if they choose. Point is, ITS THEIR CHOICE. When you’re making a life altering decision to find a life partner, intimacy can be important. Why is that so hard to understand?#TheBachelorette https://t.co/iWc8SklEJr

She even followed it up when someone questioned if they should support Hannah. (The answer is YES, btw.)

Of course we should. Have you ever done something you regret, and needed support? Or would you be fine with everyone coming after you, when you’re probably already being hard on yourself. Sometimes regrets are life lessons, which result in self compassion and growth. https://t.co/wNbNVPLXpW

Well, there you have it.
