Cara Delevingne, 29, left Karren Brady, 53, taken aback when she opted to go topless for this year’s Met Gala. The model’s take on the event’s Gilded Glamour theme saw her sport a red Christian Dior suit as she clutched a cane down the red carpet.

Cara ensured all eyes were on her when she took off her tailcoat to reveal nothing but her naked torso which was covered in gold paint.

Although Cara’s daring look certainly made a statement, Karren admits that she was not a fan.

Commenting on the star-studded event, Karren said: “Some of the outfits, and in that I include Cara Delevingne…were so hideous I wonder if they have mirrors at home.”

The Apprentice star also hit out at several other looks from the night, including those of Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Addison Rae and Lily James.

Karren said that she felt the celebrities had chosen “equally revealing ensembles” in a bid to “outdo one another”.

She then went on to criticise event goers for attending the “tone deaf” ball full stop.

The business magnate continued in her latest column for The Sun: “Doesn’t it feel a tad tone deaf that the A-listers attending the 2022 Met Gala were asked to channel the Gilded Age of New York – famed for its decadent balls, ornate gowns, and opulent jewels?

“Conjuring up such extravagant displays at a time of austerity seems off to me.”

Despite Karren’s unfavourable review, Cara has been praised by some fans for leaving her psoriasis uncovered at the event.

A user called Hadja took to Twitter to gush: “If Cara Delevingne can go on the red carpet in front of millions and show her psoriasis flare up, then I can go out in my small town and show my lupus scars.

“We are both still beautiful.”

BristolBristol echoed: “@Caradelevingne showing people with psoriasis that there is nothing to be ashamed of…thank you”

And Sarah penned: “@Caradelevingne walked the red carpet in gilded body paint and a psoriasis flare.

“I’m inspired to see people celebrating rather than hiding their skin.”

Cara previously opened up about her skin condition and confessed it contributed to her decision to step back from modeling.

She said back in 2015: “I am not doing fashion work anymore, after having, like, psoriasis and all that stuff.”

The actress explained that some co-workers would avoid touching her while lathering her body in foundation to cover up the condition.

She continued to The Times: “It wasn’t just one show. It was every single show.

“People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something.”
