Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari has slammed her father Jamie Spears in a scathing post on social media, alleging he has tried to ‘control’ the pair’s relationship.
The fitness star took to Instagram Story on Tuesday to share his unfiltered thoughts about the Oops I Did It Again singer’s father as her conservatorship saga continues.
He wrote: ‘Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.
‘In my opinion Jamie is a total d**k. I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom. (sic)’
His comment comes just days after a controversial Hulu documentary about the singer aired in the US.
The Toxic singer was the subject of Framing Britney Spears, which explored her early rise to fame, the ongoing conservatorship over her wellbeing and financial affairs, her mental health and the #FreeBritney movement.
