Britain’s Got Talent bosses furious as Champions winner LEAKS before show even airs on TV
On Tuesday night the grand final of the pre-recored show was filmed at Wembley’s SSE Arena with 10 acts fighting it out for the ultimate crown.
However, despite the show being shrouded in secrecy the winning act has leaked out after a monumental error.
A source exclusively told Daily Star Online: “Producers of the show are raging.
“They have worked so hard to make the show a success only for pictures to leak out of the act holding the trophy.
“It really is disaster but it looks as through they have managed to contain the damage.
“It would ruin it for everyone if the winner was public knowledge before even the first semi-final has aired on TV.”
The show has been a massive success with countless acts from the BGT’s history clambering to get a place in the show’s semi-finals.
The series has gone down so well during filming that Simon Cowell is already talking about the show being recomissioned for a future Champions series – it will no doubt be ratings gold.
It’s been a hectic 24 hours for Britain’s Got Talent producers after Daily Star Online exclusively revealed that Simon Cowell caught them off guard by demanding a Wild Card act for the final.
Simon had picked a terrifying stunt act to really shake things up for viewers and plans were put in place for the act to take part.
However, after seeing the dare-devil routine in the final rehearsals, health and safety execs dramatically pulled the plug.
A source told Daily Star Online: “The initial plan was for just ten acts to take part in the final.
“At the last minute, Simon called producers and demanded a Wild Card act as he thought too many good acts were being sent home.
“The act Simon chose was very dangerous but would have been amazing on TV.”
The insider continued: “However, alarm bells were ringing during rehearsals at Wembley.
“The health and safety producers talked it through and decided it was just too dangerous to broadcast.
“Even though the show is pre-recorded the risk was too great.”
The decision means that the final ten acts in the line-up are made up of five winning acts from each semi-final and five Golden Buzzer acts from each of the judges and Ant and Dec.
Revealing Simon’s plans before they were dramatically canned, an insider previously spilled to Daily Star Online: “There may be various producers working on the show but at the end of the day Simon is the boss.
“Things were all set in place to film the final tonight with ten acts but he wanted to shake things up and add a wild card.
“Simon really caught them off-guard but he felt over the past week of filming too many great acts have been going home.”
They added: “He knew they will would be able to step up to the plate and deliver a great show, but it has been a last minute scramble to say the least.”
