Former BBC Breakfast star Bill Turnbull, 63, danced with ex pro Karen Hardy, 49, on Strictly Come Dancing in 2005, where he lasted for seven weeks. Last week, the BBC star sat alongside Strictly contestant Michelle Visage, 51, on The One Show to discuss different topics with presenters Michelle Ackerley and Amol Rajan.

But, the conversation soon turned onto Strictly after the hosts asked Bill to give Michelle some advice about dancing.
After the presenting duo asked him to share his tips, he jokingly replied: “Ask someone else.”
The presenters then played a video of Bill and Karen performing their Paso Doble, which Amol referred to as “amazing”.
Reflecting on the moment, Bill said aloud: “I was very cross that week because they completely dissed me the week before so I was stamping my feet all around the dance floor.”

“It was great fun,” he added. “I did that magnificent dance and they said I looked like a Chimney Sweep.”
His comment prompted the studio guests to laugh as he added: “It wasn’t very fair.”
Turning to Michelle, he said of the current contestant: “We are in completely different leagues here.”
He then referred to the RuPaul’s Drag Race star as the “Premier League,” and described himself as the “Conference North”.
Michelle is currently dancing on the BBC show with pro dancer Giovanni Pernice.
Elsewhere, Bill recently shared an update about his prostate cancer diagnosis.
The Classic FM presenter was diagnosed with incurable cancer less than two years ago.
In various interviews, the host has revealed details about his coping mechanisms.
Speaking to Radio Times recently, Bill Turnbull said he sometimes goes into his garden and screams out loud, describing his actions as “weird”.

Speaking to Radio Times, he explained: “I do tell people there is a choice about whether you try to get on top of cancer, giving it a place but not a governing place in your life, or if you let it govern you.”
“I go to the bottom of the garden sometimes and shout, ‘Get lost! You’re not having me! I’m going to live my life and you can get stuffed!’
“Although, at the bottom of the garden, I don’t say ‘stuffed’.”
Bill went on to say he has tried to keep a positive mindset after finding out about his diagnosis.
“I do have faith,” he added to the publication.
“And it’s always been a great comfort, although when I was first diagnosed, my belief just evaporated. But then it gradually came back.”
Bill also recently revealed he has been taking CBD oil as one aspect of his disease management.
The chemical compound, known as cannabidiol, is derived from the cannabis plant.
CBD, commonly taken as a supplement in oil form, has shown promise as a form of treatment for a host of health conditions, including cancer.
