Curtis Pritchard’s older brother AJ Pritchard, 24, recently addressed a difficult moment he experienced while watching his sibling on Love Island 2019. The Strictly Come Dancing professional spoke out about how much he “misses” the reality star while he is away on a quest to find love in the Majorcan villa. Revealing his emotional reaction to his family member’s stint on the ITV2 show, AJ explained to OK! Magazine: “He [Curtis] lives up north with our parents, but he stays with me a lot in London for work. “Even when I’m not with him I’m FaceTiming him.”
The dancer then divulged to the publication: “I got really upset the other day because I could see him on the TV, but I couldn’t talk and laugh with him.”
AJ’s heartfelt admission comes after Curtis suddenly ended his five week relationship with Amy Hart, 27, in dramatic scenes from last week’s episodes of the series.
The Strictly favourite may be surprised about this turn of events, as he previously predicted his younger brother’s head couldn’t be turned.
He added in reference to Curtis’ romance with Amy: “They look so happy and at ease with each other which is the most important thing.
“He’s found someone that he can be himself around, and I don’t think his head could be turned.
“You have to be friends before you enter a relationship, or a, ‘Half relationship’.”
AJ and Curtis’ mum Debi echoed her son’s sentiment, as she gushed: “I thought it was really cute that he asked her to be his half girlfriend.
“Amy seems really nice, so I’m pleased for them both. I don’t see why they wouldn’t work on the outside.”
Elsewhere, AJ took to Twitter last week to attempt to offer Curtis some advice in the midst of his relationship woes with the air hostess.
The ballroom and latin expert sent out the post during an episode which showed Curtis admitting his betrayal to his half girlfriend and revealing he wanted to recouple with model Jourdan while she was away in Casa Amor.
In view of his 106,000 followers, AJ wrote: “Don’t give Amy space Bro… @CurtisPritchard @LoveIsland.”(sic)

Some fans criticised AJ’s comment after considering what would be best for Amy, who was left broken hearted.
One wrote: “Do give her space, he broke her heart and then has the nerve to feel sorry for himself – he did this, he hurt her.
However, in spite of the AJ’s protestations about the breakup, Curtis recently told Amy he felt as though “a weight had been lifted off his shoulders” after they made the decision to call it quits.
He explained to his ex: “I don’t feel the romantic connection so I don’t feel like it’ll work in the long run.”
